"Do your practice and all is coming" -S.K.P.J-

MY STORY

I believe Yoga is all about increasing our awareness; using our physical practice as a tool for self-discovery is just the first step for achieving our higher purpose.

I obtained my Yoga teacher certification (200hr RYT) from Sampoorna Yoga TM in Goa, India, in November 2013. However, I began my personal practice at age 14 in Guadalajara, where I grew up, while I kept practicing other disciplines and sports. It was not until 2009, when I moved to Germany, that my practice became more consistent and I found a deeper sense to it. It was then that I realized I wanted to teach Yoga and share my passion with others.

I started teaching private Yoga lessons in 2009, while doing my PhD in Dresden, Germany. During this time, I taught at the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD), I worked at Fitness First as a Yoga instructor, and provided Yoga as cross training to the Dresden Monarchs American Football team.

Vinyasa flow is my favorite personal practice and also teaching flavor. Nevertheless, I love the consistency that Ashtanga Vinyasa brings and the calming qualities of a Yin class. I enjoy practicing other sports, such as swimming and running and thus I have focused in balancing competitive sports with a Yoga practice. I enjoy studying and teaching the anatomical foundations as well as the physiological benefits of Yoga; therefore, I try to convey this knowledge to guide my students safely throughout the practice.

Some of my biggest inspirations as Yoga teachers (and people) are Jodi Blumstein, Kathryn Budig, Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruikshank, Steven Espinosa, Dice lida Klein, Tara Judelle and Keshava Murty among others.

If you want to establish or improve your Yoga practice in a wholesome, safe and fun way, give it a try and get in touch with me!

Namasté!
